ACA Softball Week in Review

The Lady Eagles (4-11) spent half of their spring break at the beach participating in the Gulf Coast Classic. The team won one of five games as they completed against teams from Alabama and Tennessee. The schedule makers did them no favors as ACA played in the final game of the day on Monday night and the first game of the day at 8:00 Tuesday morning. Elizabeth Hall, Ann Marie Lincoln, and Adalee Lincoln each had four hits on the week to lead the team.

In the weeks only win, Alabama Christian trailed 1-4 going to the bottom of the third inning. The offense exploded for eight runs over the next two frames for the 9-4 victory. In the third, the Lincoln sisters produced back to back singles driving in three runs to tie the game, 4-4. In the fourth, Emma Redmon drove in the winning run with a double to right and later scored herself in the five-run frame. Four players, Elizabeth Hall, Chloe Childs, Ann Marie Lincoln, and Adalee Lincoln, each had two hits to lead the offense. Adalee drove in three runs and scored twice.
